Electric installation

Electrical installation

The key task of a professional team is to make a safe electrical installation. For the electrical installation, flat cables are usually used, which are placed in shallow grooves cut in the walls. All cables are fastened to the walls, if they are wide, additional security is required. A common solution is also placing the wires in flexible tubes, for which deep grooves in the walls have to be made. This solution should be used in places where you would have to destroy wall finishes. The electrical installation project is very important, because in the case of potential modifications, it will show us the easiest way to find the appropriate wiring.

Laying the electrical installation

The basic knowledge of every electrician is laying the cables at an appropriate distance from the windows and the edges of the walls, which should be suspended vertically or horizontally. Power cords in one room are usually lead from the socket to the socket. The ring system should form a closed system. This means that breaking the cable continuity in one place does not cause the power to be cut off in any of the sockets. In larger rooms, it is good to think about the power supply from two separate circuits. Electric wires should only be connected in cans, which should not be covered with plaster, so that they can be easily found in case of failure. The electric wires are not arranged below

Special places in the electrical installation

In bathrooms, laundries and kitchens, the risk of electric shock is much higher. Metal casing for home appliances can be energized and moist skin is a very good current conductor. If the water pipes are also made of metal, touching the tap will risk electrocution. For this reason, it is standard to make any switches outside them, unless they are waterproof switches. Such sockets or switches have appropriate flaps and are marked with an IP 44 mark or higher. Protection against electric shock is selected according to the materials from which the installation is made:

  • if the water pipes are metallic, the batteries are connected by wires and ground. The compensation connections are responsible for our protection when the battery detects external voltage,
  • if the plumbing system is made of plastic, no grounding is made at the battery, as this could have the opposite effect to the intended one.
